SO WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS?
We aim to create a smooth and transparent recruitment process by clearly communicating each stage along the way.
Below are the timelines for our recruitment process:
- Review of applications and phone screening (week beginning 4th May 2026)
- Communication of phone screening outcomes to candidates (week beginning 11th May 2026)
- First virtual or face to face interviews with key leadership personnel (week beginning 11th May 2026)
- Second interviews with strategic planning panel (week beginning 18th May 2026)
- Reference checks, offers & contracts (week beginning 25th May 2026)
- Communication of outcomes to unsuccessful candidates & feedback (week beginning 1st June 2026)

The Australian Student Leadership Conference (ASLC). This conference, created to develop the skills and confidence of badged leaders stepping into the senior year of high school, is delivered annually in five unique locations and has a sibling program in New Zealand – Rangatira.
Altitude Day. This annual roadshow, targeted at Year 9 students, is delivered in twelve unique locations across two weeks. An absolute highlight of the yLead calendar for both educators, students, volunteers and yLead staff.
