Making a Difference: Student Leadership Summit

We are excited to announce that yLead and the Alliance of Girls’ Schools Australasia are partnering again in 2019 to deliver the Making a Difference: Student Leadership Summit series in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Christchurch.
The Making a Difference: Student Leadership Summit is for Year 9-11 students in Australia and Year 10-12 students in New Zealand, who have an interest in furthering their leadership opportunities. The summit equips girls with the skills and tools needed to apply for, and take on, leadership roles within their schools and communities.
Being a mentor on the summit is an opportunity for you to empower and support future female leaders. You will do this by providing advice and insight from your own personal leadership journey throughout your schooling career. Applications are now open to bring together diverse and dynamic leadership teams to wear the blue as a yLead volunteer.

Melbourne Summit Details:
Dates: Saturday 10 – Sunday 11 August 2019 (2 days)
Venue: Strathcona Baptist Girls’ Grammar School, Canterbury
*Must be available from 7am – 5:30pm each day, plus the afternoon prior to assist with event preparation.
Applications Open: Tuesday 16 July 2019
Applications Close: Monday 22 July 2019
Brisbane Summit Details:
Dates: Monday 23 September 2019 (1 day)
Venue: St Margaret’s Anglican Girls’ School, Ascot
*Must be available from 7am – 5:30pm on the day, plus the afternoon prior to assist with event preparation.
Applications Open: Friday 23 August 2019
Applications Close: Friday 30 August 2019
Sydney Summit Details:
Dates: Monday 30 September 2019 (1 day)
Venue: Ravenswood School for Girls, Gordon
*Must be available from 7am – 5:30pm on the day, plus the afternoon prior to assist with event preparation.

Applications Close: Friday 30 August 2019
Christchurch Summit Details:
Dates: Sunday 6 October – Tuesday 8 October 2019 (3 days)
Venue: Rangi Ruru Girls’ School, Christchurch
*Must be available from 7am – 5:30pm on Days 1 & 2, and 7am – 1pm on Day 3.
Applications Open: Friday 23 August 2019
Applications Close: Friday 30 August 2019
